Rob Carron

SVP & Chief Information Officer at Hitachi Capital America Corp.

Rob Carron serves as the Chief Information Officer at Hitachi Capital America. His responsibilities include setting strategic direction and implementing solutions across a suite of software that supports the company’s endeavors in deal origination, risk, operations, accounting, and reporting/analytics.

Prior to joining Hitachi, Rob was the Senior Program Manager in the Treasury IT division at General Electric. In this position, he led a team of project leaders who delivered small/medium-sized projects for 20+ legacy applications. Rob then moved on to become the Senior Program Manager in the Equipment Finance division at GE. He also led a team of project managers, business analysts, and QA analysts to deliver several software releases per year, which were large projects and typically required the assistance of up to 150 people each.

Rob’s final position at GE was as IT Leader in the Corporate Finance division. He built and developed relationships across the Corporate Finance leadership team, developed IT strategy across all the company’s functions, and was directly involved in all project work for the Corporate Finance business. These projects encompassed a wide array of subjects, including feasibility, initiation, cost-benefit analysis, prioritization, and project reviews.

Rob graduated from the Boston University School of Management in Boston, MA with a BSBA degree in management information systems.
