Wakako Matsumoto

Wakako Matsumoto has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Wakako began their career as a Buyer at Tobu Department Store from 1992 to 1998. Wakako then worked as the Executive Director at the Japan Society of San Diego & Tijuana from 2002 to 2005, where they managed operations and developed relationships with various organizations and corporations. From 2005 to 2015, Wakako served as the Manager of Business Development at the Hitachi Chemical Research Center, Inc. During this time, they led research and business teams, negotiated agreements, and built and managed relationships with clients in the biotechnology and medical industries. Wakako subsequently worked as the Manager of Product Planning & Development at SRL, Inc. from June to October 2015. From 2015 to 2017, Wakako worked as the Manager of Business Development at Hitachi Chemical Co. America, Ltd. Finally, they joined Minaris Medical America Inc in 2017 as the Sr. Manager of Business Development and Marketing. In 2023, they were promoted to Sr. Director of International Business, and later that year, they joined Hitachi High-Tech America, Inc. as the Director of Business Development in the Molecular Research and Diagnostics Division.

Wakako Matsumoto earned an MBA in Business from the University of San Diego from 1999 to 2001.
