Cynthia Chen

Cynthia Chen is a seasoned data science professional with extensive experience in leading analytics initiatives across various industries. Currently serving as Chief Data Scientist and Senior Director at Hitachi Vantara since December 2013, Cynthia oversees product development, establishes analytics content for Machine Learning as a Service (MLaaS), and leads the creation of the Analytics Group alongside the IoT Analytics Roadmap. Previously, Cynthia held roles at IBM from August 2007 to October 2013 as both a Senior Data Scientist and Principal Consultant, where responsibilities included dynamic pricing optimization for an extensive computer accessories client and the architectural redesign of enterprise software solutions for a trading firm. Cynthia began her career as a Principal Consultant at EMC from May 2006 to May 2007. Cynthia holds a Bachelor of Applied Science from Peking University and a Master of Electrical Engineering with a focus on artificial intelligence from Binghamton University's Thomas J. Watson College of Engineering and Applied Science.
