Hidehisa Shitomi

Hidehisa Shitomi is a highly experienced technical director and architect with a career spanning over two decades at Hitachi and Hitachi Data Systems. Currently serving as the Technical Director in the Office of the CTO for the Digital Infrastructure Business Unit at Hitachi Vantara, Hidehisa collaborates with the CTO to drive innovation and develop technological initiatives, including cloud solutions and generative AI platforms. Previous roles include Chief Architect and Director of Software Engineering, where Hidehisa led significant projects that contributed to modernizing data center infrastructures and advancing storage revenue. With a robust educational background including a Ph.D. candidate status in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and multiple degrees from Keio University, Hidehisa has made notable contributions to the field, including the filing of 18 patents.
