Ankit Sharma

Ankit Sharma is a seasoned professional in the field of engineering and research, currently serving as Senior Researcher and Manager of the Digital Mobility Research Group at Hitachi since May 2020. Prior to this role, Ankit accumulated significant experience at GE Transportation, a Wabtec company, from July 2011 to April 2020, holding various positions including Product Owner, Systems Engineer, and Advanced Lead Engineer in Controls Engineering. Ankit's career began as an Instrumentation Engineer at Ballarpur Industries Limited from July 2010 to June 2011. Ankit is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, with an expected completion date of January 2029, and holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Gannon University and a Bachelor of Technology in Electronics & Instrumentation from Vellore Institute of Technology.
