Durgesh Patel

Durgesh Patel serves as the Vice President of Strategy and Operations at Hitachi's Global AI Center of Excellence since April 2025, focusing on enhancing the company's global AI capabilities for industrial sectors. Prior to this, Durgesh held the role of Vice President and Chief of Staff at Hitachi Digital, where initiatives included operationalizing strategy and expanding portfolios. Experience also includes a Senior Manager position at West Monroe, specializing in digital strategy within Consumer & Industrial Products, and an extensive tenure at Cognizant in various corporate strategy and advisory roles, including Director of Industry+ focusing on IoT and sustainability. Earlier career milestones include positions at UBS and ICICI Bank. Durgesh holds an MBA in Finance and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
