Theo Scherman

Theo Scherman is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in strategic leadership across various sectors, particularly in technology and education. Currently serving as the Chief Strategy Officer at Hitachi Asia since May 2017, Theo has previously held key roles such as the Global Social Innovation Strategy Lead and Director at Hitachi Consulting, where expertise in strategic alliances and smart infrastructure was demonstrated. Prior to Hitachi, Theo was the Chairman of Intellectual Performance Institute LLC and the CEO/President of EDUSS Broadcast & Media Inc., noted for pioneering adaptive-learning education solutions. Theo also co-founded EDCO Training Pty Ltd and founded YCS Pty Ltd., establishing a strong foundation in computer sales and training. Educational qualifications include an MBA from Canterbury Christ Church University and a BSc in Computer Engineering from the University of Johannesburg.
