Anthony MacDonald

Anthony MacDonald is an experienced engineering professional with a substantial background in rail solutions and software engineering. Currently serving as the Engineering Manager for Hitachi Rail in the Sequence Alliance since February 2006, Anthony is responsible for delivering the European Train Control System (ETCS) for the Cross River Rail project. Previously, Anthony held the position of Global Manager for Freight Solutions and the Freight Automated Dispatching System at Hitachi Rail, which emphasizes the provision of advanced technology to enhance safety and efficiency for freight rail operators in Australia. Prior experience includes roles as a Software Engineering Manager, Lecturer at The University of Queensland's School of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering, and Postdoctoral Researcher at the Software Verification Research Centre. Anthony's academic credentials include a PhD, BSc (Hons), and a Bachelor's degree, all in Computer Software Engineering from The University of Queensland.
