Arch. Umberto Chiacchio

Umberto Chiacchio has extensive work experience in the field of architecture. arch. Umberto began their career with G.E.G.A. Progettazione Architettonica ed Interior Design, where they worked as an Architecture Stage Researcher from October 2010 to July 2011. arch. Umberto then joined WORLDWIDE ARCHITECTS Office Firm Istanbul as an Architect, working from September 2014 to September 2016. Following this, they worked at Ansaldo STS A Hitachi Group Company as a General System Engineer from January 2017 to December 2018. arch. Umberto then joined Hitachi Rail STS as a Physical Architecture Engineer from January 2018 to December 2019. Their most recent position is with Hitachi Rail, where they serve as a Senior Lead Architect of Human Factor and Ergonomics for Control Center Design & Integration, starting in January 2019. Additionally, they had a role as an Architect Project Manager at Pannone Architetti Yacht Design starting in March 2016.

Umberto holds a Master of Architecture (M.Arch.) degree from Yıldız Teknik Üniversitesi, where they studied in the Architectural Engineering Department from 2014 to 2015. Prior to that, they completed a Laurea Magistrale (LM) in Architettura e dell'Ingegneria edile from Seconda Università degli Studi di Napoli from 2013 to 2015, with a specialization in Architecture - Interior Design for Autonomy. In 2011 and 2012, they obtained a Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) from Budapest University of Technology and Economics, majoring in Architectural Engineering. arch. Umberto also holds a Laurea L in Scienze dell'Architettura e dell'Ingegneria edile, which they earned from Seconda Università degli Studi di Napoli in 2009 to 2012, specializing in SdAI Scienze dell'Architettura e dell'Ingegneria Edile. Prior to their higher education, they obtained a Diploma Geometer in 2007 from I.T.G Porzio. Their earlier education includes attending Montessori American School from 1996 to 2002, located in Bagnoli Nato Base, Naples, Italy.
