Jon Hemsley

Jon Hemsley serves as the Digital Transformation Director at Hitachi Rail since July 2021, where responsibilities include leading the transformation of maintenance activities and digital development within the Vehicles Line of Business. Previously held positions include Systems Engineering Director and Head of OS&M Engineering UK, overseeing global system engineering activities. Jon’s career includes roles as Head of Business Development and Head of Asset Management at Ricardo Rail, and Global Head of Fleet Support Engineering at Bombardier Transportation, where responsibilities encompassed delivery of engineering capabilities and resource management for projects. Jon also has extensive experience from previous roles at DeltaRail, The Engineering Link, WS Atkins, and British Rail, with a solid educational background comprising a Diploma in Applied Management from the University of Warwick and a BEng (Hons) in Electronic, Control & Systems Engineering from The University of Sheffield.
