Radek Benkel

Radek Benkel has a diverse work experience in the software engineering field. Radek currently holds the position of Senior Software Engineer at hitta.se since January 2023. Previously, they worked at Pearson as a Senior Research Engineer from July 2020 to July 2022. Prior to that, Radek worked at HolidayCheck AG as a Senior Software Engineer for more than 8 years. During their time at HolidayCheck AG, they were involved in various tasks including implementing an in-house isomorphic framework, optimizing application performance, improving developer experience, adapting the application for internationalization, ongoing application development, and conducting technical recruitment. Radek founded webkatte in 2011 and served as the Founder until June 2017. Additionally, they worked as a Software Architect at Pearson IOKI Sp. z o.o. for a brief period in 2012, where they were involved in system design for an e-learning platform and technical recruitment. Radek's earliest work experience was at Gammanet Sp. z o.o., where they first held the role of Web Developer from May 2008 to November 2010, involved in the development of browser-based MMO games, and later worked as a Dev Team Lead from November 2010 to November 2011, leading a small team of developers. Throughout their career, Radek has gained expertise in a variety of technologies including React, JavaScript, Sass, Node.js, PHP (Symfony), AWS, ZendFramework, MySQL, HTML, and CSS.

Radek Benkel pursued higher education at the Poznan University of Technology. Radek graduated in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Automatics and Management, specializing in the field of Automatics. Subsequently, from 2010 to 2011, they completed their Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Computer Science from the same university.
