Tom Canter

Tom Canter is an experienced data engineer currently employed at Hive | Centrica Hive Limited since March 2020. Previously, Tom held the position of Lead Engineer at News UK from June 2018 to February 2020, and served as a Senior Software Developer at Sky from January 2017 to June 2018. Earlier in the career, Tom was the Tech Lead / Senior Software Engineer at Accedo.tv from June 2015 to January 2017 and a Senior Software Engineer at BBC between August 2009 and June 2015, focusing on application development for connected TVs and games consoles using various programming languages. Tom began the career at Sony, working as a Software Engineer and Test Engineer from October 2005 to August 2009. Tom holds a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Computer Engineering from Portsmouth University, completed in 2005.
