Tarek Kamoun

Tarek Kamoun has had a diverse range of work experiences throughout their career. Tarek started their career at Accenture Management Consulting, where they worked for 8 years and gained skills in strategic planning, execution, mentoring, team building, and leadership. Tarek then joined INSEAD as a Full MBA Student before moving on to Amazon, where they served as the Category Lead for Small Domestic Appliances and Floorcare. At Amazon, Tarek was responsible for defining and implementing category strategies, managing vendor relationships, and delivering P&L targets.

After their time at Amazon, Tarek co-founded Performance Consultants France, where they served as the COO. Tarek then joined Qowisio, a VC-backed IoT startup, as the VP of International Expansion and Business Development. In this role, Tarek played a crucial role in defining and executing the go-to-market strategy, evaluating new expansion opportunities, and establishing strategic partnerships.

Tarek later served as the Head of Marketplace and COO on the Executive Committee at Stootie, a peer-to-peer services marketplace that was later acquired by Cdiscount. Following their time at Stootie, Tarek co-founded OptimDBS, a company focused on offering end-to-end B2B connected solutions.

More recently, Tarek joined On Deck as a Fellow, participating in a 10-week virtual program that provided access to a network of talented founders from around the world. Currently, Tarek is working at Hivebrite as the Chief of Staff and will transition into the role of Chief Product and Technology Officer in 2023.

Tarek Kamoun has a diverse education history. Tarek obtained an MBA from INSEAD in 2011, where their studies focused on strategy, finance, and entrepreneurship. Prior to that, they earned a Master's Degree in Engineering/Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2002. Tarek also holds a Master's Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, which they completed at CentraleSupélec from 1999 to 2002. Their education journey started with a Classe Préparatoire MP at Lycée Janson-de-Sailly from 1997 to 1999. In 2018, Tarek received a certification in INSIGHT FOR INNOVATION from IDEO.
