Andrew Slattery began their work experience in 2004 as the Founder of Ironfist Studios, where they focused on full-stack web development. In 2011, they joined the United States Army Reserve as an Information Assurance Specialist and Multichannel Transmissions Systems Operator/Maintainer. In 2014, they founded Frontseat, a short-lived startup aimed at helping Lyft and Uber drivers maximize their earnings. Andrew also worked as a Coding Immersion Contract Teacher at CITY Center for Collaborative Learning, where they developed an immersive curriculum for teaching coding to students. In 2012, Slattery founded IronFist Digital, a business aimed at providing support to SMBs, startups, and transitioning Veterans using Google programs. In 2017, they joined Hivemetric as a Full Stack Engineer and eventually became a Cloud Architect & Senior Software Engineer. In 2018, they also worked as a Cloud Architect and Senior Software Engineer at HLN Consulting, LLC, where they focused on refactoring existing frontends and integrating with backend services.

Andrew Slattery's education history begins in 2007 when they attended Catalina Foothills High School and obtained their High School Diploma in 2011. In 2012, they attended the US Army Signal School, where they studied Multichannel Transmissions and Satellite Communications, earning a degree in 25Q. Subsequently, in 2012 and 2013, they attended the University of Arizona, majoring in Management Information Systems, but did not earn a specific degree.

In addition to their formal education, Andrew Slattery has obtained several certifications. In June 2013, they completed the "Modified AN/TSC-156D Upgrade Operation and Maintenance Training" course offered by the U.S. Army and L3 Communications. Later, in January 2019, they obtained the certification of "PROFESSIONAL CLOUD DEVELOPER" from Google Cloud. In April 2019, they earned the certification of "PROFESSIONAL CLOUD ARCHITECT," also from Google Cloud. Lastly, in February 2023, they obtained the certification of "Professional Cloud Security Engineer" from Google Cloud.
