Awni Farhat is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in project management and development, particularly in women empowerment, human rights, and conflict resolution. Currently a Project Officer at Hivos, Awni has contributed to various initiatives across the Middle East and North Africa, focusing on Women's Rights, Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights, and sustainable development. Previous roles include coordinating projects at the Palestinian Center for Democracy and Conflict Resolution, where Awni aimed to empower children, and facilitating training for Syrian women at Small Projects Istanbul. Awni holds an Advanced Master's in International Development from Radboud University and a Master's in Development Studies from Erasmus University Rotterdam, complemented by a Bachelor's in English Language and Literature from Al-Azhar University in Gaza.
