Christopher Smith is a seasoned real estate professional with extensive experience in property management and asset oversight. Currently, as Senior Property Manager at HJ Development since June 2023, Christopher manages a diverse portfolio of retail and office properties throughout Minnesota while mentoring staff and collaborating on business strategy. Previously, as Director of Real Estate at Vertin from April 2021 to May 2023, Christopher oversaw real estate, facilities, and fleet operations for over 90 locations across seven states. Christopher's earlier roles at Cushman & Wakefield from 1998 to 2021 included Associate Director overseeing significant real estate portfolios and serving on the Executive Management team, as well as positions as General Manager and Senior Property Manager. Christopher began the career at Welsh Companies from 1996 to 1998, managing diverse property portfolios. Christopher holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Facilities Planning and Management from North Dakota State University.
