Ricardo Arbelaez

Ricardo Arbelaez began their work experience in 1991 as a Country Manager for Inflight Duty Free Shop Inc. Ricardo was responsible for managing operations and logistics, as well as inventory management and control. Ricardo later became an auditor for various airlines in Latin America. In 2001, they joined Omni Metal Finishing Inc as a Quality Systems Auditor, where they were responsible for internal audits and developing training programs. In 2005, Arbelaez joined Duty Free World, Inc as Director of Operations, overseeing operations in multiple countries and managing a large team. Currently, they are serving as the VP of Operations at HK Global Trading Ltd.

Ricardo Arbelaez pursued their Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Universidad Externado de Colombia, starting in 1987 and successfully completing it in 1992. Later, in 2001, they enrolled in Santa Ana College for a period of two years, from 2001 to 2003. HKG Duty Free has expanded operating eleven store locations positioned along the US Southern Border: three in California, one in Arizona, and seven located in Texas. HKG Duty Free is the market leader in electronics, but also now developing comprehensive fashion brand portfolio including Mont Blanc, Fossil, Michael Kors, A/X Armani Exchange, Diesel, DKNY, Adidas, Guess, Tommy Hilfiger, Casio, and Lacoste. Also, HKG Duty Free offers wide array of famous fragrance brands launching new programs throughout the year. In addition, popular international and domestic spirits and tobacco brand are offered tax free for export in all HKG Duty Free locations. Moving south, HKG recently acquired two stores located in Belize offering the same brands and categories to customers crossing into Mexico. In november 2017, HKG introduced its first Duty Free Store opening in Queretaro International Airport, Mexico.
