Scott B. Haines

Scott B. Haines is President and Chief Executive Officer of H&K Group, Inc. (H&K), one of the Mid-Atlantic Region’s largest privately owned and operated heavy civil contracting and construction materials companies. H&K will celebrate a half-century of business excellence in 2018.

Scott Haines is the eldest son of John B. Haines IV, founder and Co-Chairman of the Board of H&K. Scott entered the corporation in 1978 and through the years has continued to develop into a strong, stable, commanding leader with the uncanny ability to thoroughly and completely grasp the pulse of the corporation. Given his capacity to understand the mechanics and underpinnings of H&K on every level, Scott is the natural forward-thinking frontman, with the financial, operational, and rational savvy to make decisions that will continue to shape the face of H&K for generations to come.

Having been the first of his siblings and second-generation partners to enter the business, Scott would set the bar for what was ultimately to be expected of future leaders within the corporation. Having held nearly every position from field laborer to the regional superintendent, Scott was seamlessly bridging or connecting the corporate boardroom with all aspects of the company and was truly positioning himself as the future point man for H&K. With an eventual corporate restructuring in 2007, Scott was officially appointed as Chief Executive Officer for H&K. Since this time, Scott has continued to develop both his persona and his position as the lead officer and owner of a large, successful site contracting and construction materials company.
