Fredrik Huthoff is an accomplished academic and consultant in hydraulic engineering with extensive experience in various roles. Currently, Fredrik serves as an Associate Professor at IHE Delft Institute for Water Education since September 2023 and as an Assistant Professor at Universiteit Twente since September 2018, focusing on marine and fluvial systems. Additionally, Fredrik has been a Consultant and Partner at HKV lijn in water since 2002, specializing in rivers, coasts, and deltas. Previous experience includes a postdoctoral research position in geology and agribusiness economics at Southern Illinois University from May 2011 to May 2013, and a role as a software engineer at Net.Footworks from 2001 to 2002. Fredrik holds a PhD in Water Management with a specialization in the hydraulics of river systems from the University of Twente (2003-2007) and an MSc in Astrophysics from the University of Amsterdam (1993-2001), with ongoing studies at UNSW since 2000.
