Jan Stijnen

Jan Stijnen is an experienced professional in water safety and crisis management, currently serving as the Head of the Safety and Crisis Management Department at HKV Consultants since September 2001, overseeing a team of approximately 20 experts. In addition to this role, Jan Stijnen is a Senior Advisor specializing in water safety and flood risk management, adept at translating complex issues into practical applications and policies. Jan Stijnen also works as an Advisor on Hydraulic Loads for Adviesteam Dijkontwerp and previously contributed to the academic field as a Ph.D. student at Delft University of Technology from 1997 to 2001, after earning a Master’s degree in Mathematics from the same institution.
