Wouter Ter Horst

Wouter Ter Horst has extensive experience in flood risk management and safety of flood defence systems, currently holding the position of Directeur and Consultant Flood Risk at HKV lijn in water since January 2014. Prior to this role, Wouter served as a Consultant at Infram International from August 2005 to December 2013 and engaged in research and educational projects at Delft University of Technology, including a study on the optimal design of flood defence systems and contributions as a Researcher in the Section of Hydraulic Engineering. Wouter's early career included internships at Rijkswaterstaat, TNO, and Heijmans, following the completion of a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Delft University of Technology and a Strikdiploma from 3-Sprong.
