Nikki Powell

Nikki Powell, PhD has a diverse work experience that spans various roles and industries. Nikki is currently working at HLX as the Senior Associate Director of Medical and Scientific Affairs. Prior to this, Nikki held positions at RevHealth, where they served as an Associate Medical Director and Senior Medical Writer. Nikki also worked at Aptitude Health as a Scientific Content Specialist. Nikki's earlier professional experience includes roles at Emory University, where they worked as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist and conducted dissertation research in the Department of Pathology. Nikki also served as a Patent Intern in the Office of Technology Transfer and as a Teaching Assistant for graduate-level Immunology courses. Furthermore, Nikki has experience as a Private Tutor and as a Tutor and Mentor in the Student Athlete Enrichment Program at Clemson University. Nikki began their career as a Research Intern at the Medical College of Georgia at Georgia Regents University.

Nikki started their educational journey by attending the South Carolina Governor's School for Science & Mathematics from 2006 to 2008, where they focused on the field of Microbiology, specifically in the general area. Following that, they pursued their undergraduate studies at Clemson University from 2008 to 2011, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Microbiology. Lastly, Nikki continued their academic pursuits at Emory University from 2012 to 2020, where they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Immunology and Molecular Pathogenesis.
