John Lee is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in policy development and strategic leadership within HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) and the Cabinet Office. Currently serving as the Strategic Review Lead for Policy Professionalism at HMRC since June 2018, John conducts comprehensive strategic reviews to enhance organizational flexibility and support policy teams. Notably, John led efforts to minimize the impact of the Northern Ireland Protocol on GB-NI postal movements and played a significant role in the rollout of the Self-Employment Income Support Scheme during the COVID-19 pandemic. Additionally, John's previous positions include leading cross-Government debt efficiency initiatives at the Cabinet Office and extensive work in various capacities at HMRC. John holds a Bachelor's degree in Licensed Retail Management from Leeds Beckett University.
