Francesco Bignami

Francesco Bignami serves as a Global Product Compliance Specialist at H&M Group, focusing on chemical regulatory affairs and ensuring compliance across markets and sales channels. Prior experience includes leadership in the Mistra TerraClean Project at RISE Research Institutes of Sweden, where Francesco directed environmental impact assessments of engineered materials for pollution treatment. A tenure as a trainee at the European Chemicals Agency involved reviewing the Drinking Water Directive and conducting risk assessments, while earlier roles at Istituto Superiore di Sanità contributed to water sanitation and environmental virology research. Francesco holds a Master’s degree in Chemistry from Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna and Universitat de Barcelona, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Sapienza Università di Roma.
