Richard Choi

Principal Designer at HMD Global

Richard Choi has a diverse work experience in the field of design. Richard started their career as a Product Designer at CMDA limited in 2003. Richard then worked as a Product Design Engineer at Lite-On IT Corporation from 2003 to 2006. In 2007, they became the Product Design Leader at Tathmeer-Invest for a brief period. Richard joined Nokia in 2008 as a Senior Designer, where they worked until 2013. During their time at Nokia, they built strong relationships with program teams and facilitated the translation of design intent into devices. From 2014 to 2017, they were a Senior User Experience Designer (Industrial Design) at Honeywell. Since 2017, Richard has been the Founder of TRAFOLD LTD, a Principal Designer at HMD Global, and a Governor at Sutton College. In 2022, they also joined the GLA London Hong Kong Integration Steering Group as a Group member and the Sutton Safer Neighbourhood Board as a Board Member.

Richard Choi attended the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (IVE) from 1999 to 2002, where they pursued a Higher Diploma in Product Design. Their field of study was specifically focused on Industrial and Product Design.
