Kevin Derr

Kevin Derr has held a variety of roles in the technology industry over the past two decades. Kevin began their career in 1999 as a Web Developer and Senior Web Developer at The Hertz Corporation, and was later promoted to Manager of Web Development. In 2008, they took on the role of Director of Operations at NJ Mobile Dental Practice, PA. In 2010, they joined Stryker as Director of Design, Development & Test, and then was promoted to Director of Software Development and Senior Manager of Middleware. In 2016, they took on the role of Director of Data Analytics & Chief Security Officer at Auris Health, Inc. Finally, in 2020 they were appointed Chief Executive Officer of HMD Labs.

Kevin Derr attended Montclair State University from 1995 to 2009, where they earned a degree in Marketing with a focus in MIS, Anthropology, and Archaeology. From 2006 to 2008, they attended Optiprise to study Lean Management. Kevin also attended the International Institute of Learning, Inc in 2007 to study Project Management. In 2000 to 2002, they attended Learning Tree International and earned a Certificate in Java Development.
