Neval Akbas

Neval Akbas, PhD, NRCC, is an accomplished professional in the field of biochemistry and chemistry, currently serving as the Associate Scientific Director at HNL Lab Medicine since 2020. Prior experience includes roles as Associate Director at Medpace from 2016 to 2020, and Clinical Chemistry Fellow at Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Children's Hospital from 2014 to 2016. Neval Akbas completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Mayo Clinic from 2012 to 2014 and earned a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Georgia State University, where studies were conducted from 2007 to 2012. Additional academic qualifications include an M.S. in Bioanalytical Chemistry from Northeastern Illinois University and dual B.S. degrees in Mathematics Engineering and Chemistry from Istanbul Technical University.
