Lou Knudsen has a diverse work experience in the tech industry. They started their career as a Senior Customer Service Representative at Trade Me in 2012. After two years, they transitioned into a role as a UX Researcher & Consultant at the same company. In 2019, they took on the position of Senior UX Researcher at Trade Me, before moving to Xero in 2020 as a Senior Design Researcher. They later became the Lead Design Researcher at Xero and held this role until 2022. Following that, they worked as a Strategic UX Research Consultant at UsabilityHub for a brief period of time. Currently, they are working as a Junior Engineer at Hnry, starting in 2023.

Lou Knudsen's education history begins in 2001 when they attended the Southern Institute of Technology. During their time there, they pursued a National Diploma in Hospitality Management, with a focus on Hospitality Administration/Management. This program lasted until 2003.

In 2015, Lou Knudsen attended Massey University, where they studied a specific paper called "Psychology as a Social Science." This paper allowed them to delve into the field of Psychology and gain a comprehensive understanding of its social aspects.

In 2019, Lou Knudsen participated in a training course called "Usability and UX-Foundation Certification (CPUX-F)" at Bunnyfoot. This course helped them acquire skills in Usability and User Experience (UX), enhancing their knowledge in this area.

Most recently, in 2023, Lou Knudsen attended Dev Academy Aotearoa, where they pursued a New Zealand Certificate in Applied Software Development (Level 6). This program focused on Full Stack Software Development, equipping them with the necessary knowledge and skills in this field.
