Maggie Ely

Maggie Ely is an Environmental Planner at HNTB, a position held since May 2021, following a role as a Policy and Planning Intern at the Atlanta Bicycle Coalition from March 2021 to May 2021. Prior experience includes serving as Planner I, III in the Waterway Management Unit at the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission from January 2019 to July 2020, where responsibilities included overseeing state-owned waterway markers. Maggie also contributed as a Conservation Corps/AmeriCorps Member with American Conservation Experience in 2018, focusing on land conservation and restoration projects across the Southeastern United States, and as a Land Conservation Intern at Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill in summer 2017, working on a 3,000-acre natural preserve. Maggie holds a Master of City and Regional Planning with a concentration in Environmental and Health Planning from the Georgia Institute of Technology (2020-2022) and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies from Centre College (2014-2018).
