Naeem Akhtar PMP, PE (USA) is a seasoned Senior Project Manager - Track at HNTB, overseeing the track engineering group at the capital region level and leading task orders for MTA Baltimore's On-Call Track Engineering contracts since February 2024. Previously, Naeem served as Director of Track Engineering and Senior Track Engineer at Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) from July 2016 to April 2024. Naeem's earlier experience includes roles as Principal Track Engineer at WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff in the Middle East, Senior Track Engineer/Project Manager at the Association of American Railroads, and Resident Engineer (Infrastructure) at Asian Consulting Engineers PVT Ltd. Naeem holds a Master of Engineering degree in Structural and Geotechnical Engineering from the University of Toronto, obtained in 2003.
