Phil Brake is the Northeast Division President at HNTB. Prior to their current position, Brake was with HNTB Corporation and Boston & Maine Railroad. Phil was the AVP of Engineering at Boston & Maine Railroad from January 1992 to December 2002 where they managed the design and construction, bridge & building and signal & communications departments. Phil was responsible for the restoration of passenger service of the 114-mile passenger line between Boston and Portland, Maine for Amtrak’s Downeaster service and the clearance improvement project from Ayer, MA to Mechanicville, NY including 22 bridges and 2 tunnels including the 4.75mi Hoosac Tunnel.
Phil Brake received a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
