Alma Fausto

Alma Fausto is an experienced communications professional currently serving as the Manager of Communications for Hoag Hospital Foundation since May 2021. Prior to this role, Alma worked as a bilingual breaking news and crime reporter for the Orange County Register from June 2013 to May 2021, as well as covering similar topics for the Los Angeles Register in 2014. Alma's journalism career also includes reporting on the Mexican immigrant community in New York City for Globalcitynyc.com and contributions to local news in Merced through roles at the Merced Sun-Star and Merced County Times. Alma's leadership experience includes editing and managing The Prodigy at UC Merced. Alma holds a Master of Science in Journalism from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of California, Merced.
