Christopher Long

Christopher Long, MHA has a strong background in revenue management and healthcare finance. Christopher started their career in 2000 as a Decision Support Analyst III at Greater Newport Physicians. In this role, they provided analytical support for decision-making processes. In 2000, Christopher also joined Hoag Health System as a Senior Revenue Analyst & Chargemaster Coordinator, responsible for managing revenue processes and ensuring accurate coding. Christopher was later promoted to Revenue Supervisor in 2014, where they supervised revenue operations at Hoag Hospital Newport Beach & Irvine. In 2017, Christopher became the Revenue Manager in Finance at Hoag Health System, overseeing the Chargemaster, Contract Modeling, and Hospital Net Revenue projections. Their expertise in managed care contracting, government reimbursement, and hospital operations has made him a valuable asset to the organization. In 2022, Christopher transitioned to the role of Principal Director of Revenue at Hoag Health System.

Christopher Long, MHA, earned a Bachelor's degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from California State University, Long Beach in 1998. Christopher then pursued further education and obtained a Master's degree in Business Health Care from Chapman University in 2004.
