Medical Director Of Neuro-oncology at Hoag Hospital

Simon Khagi, MD, FACP has extensive work experience in the medical field. Simon is currently serving as the Medical Director of Neuro-Oncology at Hoag Health System since August 2023. Prior to this, they founded SKBio Advisory in July 2022. From October 2021 to July 2023, they worked as the Associate Oncology Service Line Director for Southern New Hampshire and also served as the Medical Director of Dartmouth Cancer Center - Manchester and Nashua at Dartmouth-Hitchcock. During the same period, they were an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth and a Graduate Faculty at UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy. From 2016 to 2021, they held various roles at UNC Health, including Director of the UNC Comprehensive Brain Metastases Program and Director of the UNC Neuro-Oncology Program. Simon was also an Assistant Professor of Medicine and Neurosurgery at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 2016 to 2021.

Simon Khagi, MD, FACP has a diverse education history. Simon received their Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Liberal Arts from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2002, followed by a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine in the same year. Simon continued their medical training with an Internal Medicine Residency Program at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth from 2009 to 2012. Dr. Khagi then pursued a Hematology and Medical Oncology Fellowship Program at Tufts University School of Medicine from 2012 to 2015. Simon further specialized in Neurological Oncology by completing a fellowship program at Duke University School of Medicine from 2015 to 2016. Recently, they have been pursuing a Master of Business Administration degree at the Isenberg School of Management, UMass Amherst, starting in 2021 and expected to finish in 2024. Dr. Khagi is a licensed physician with medical licenses from the Medical Board of California, the North Carolina Medical Board, the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine, and the New Hampshire Board of Medicine. Simon also holds certifications in Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology, and Neuro-Oncology from reputable institutions.
