Waleed Bassyoni

Waleed Bassyoni has a diverse range of work experience in the field of healthcare analytics and software engineering. Waleed started their career at TAMA Corporation/League Technology as an Information System Specialist from September 1995 to December 1997. Waleed then worked at Enterprise Solutions Limited (ESL) as a Software Engineer from January 1998 to June 1999, where they implemented a hospital operations system. Waleed then joined the Social Fund for Development as a Software Engineer from June 1999 to June 2000, where they led the design and implementation of a BI tool. Waleed then worked at Kaiser Permanente as a Solution Consulting Lead - BI from July 2000 to March 2011, where they provided technical oversight, authored architecture solutions, and worked on analytical projects. Currently, Waleed is the Director of Strategic Analytics at Hoag Hospital, a position they have held since March 2011. In this role, they have managed the BI team, selected vendors, authored data warehousing and business intelligence roadmaps.

Waleed Bassyoni has a education history that includes the following:

- In 1990 to 1995, they earned a B.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering & Computer Science from The American University in Cairo.

- In 1995 to 1997, they pursued an MBA with a focus on Business Administration and IT at Maastricht School of Management.

- In 2005, they became certified as a Business Intelligence Professional and as an Advanced DBA by IBM.

- In 2010, they obtained certification as a Certified Business Intelligence Professional (CBIP) with a mastery in Business Analytics from TDWI.

- In 2012, they completed Power Center Level I & Level II Training at Informatica, and Developer & Designer Training at Qlikview.
