George De Stefano has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. George started their career as a Senior Financial Accountant at Trans Freight Lines and later served as the Corporate Controller at United States Testing. George then joined J.D. Edwards as a Client Service Representative and later became a Divisional Controller at United States Testing Company. George also had experience working as a Financial System Analyst at Waterford Wedgwood. George held the position of Block Advisor at H & R Block Advisors before joining the City of Hoboken as the Chief Finance Officer, where their tenure is still ongoing.

George De Stefano earned a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Finance from St. Peters College in Jersey City, NJ, from 1972 to 1984. George then pursued a Real Estate License in the State of New Jersey at Kovats Real Estate in 1985 to 1986. Later, from 1988 to 1993, they obtained a Master's Degree in MBA/MIS from Saint Peter's University. Finally, they completed a CMFO Certification at Rutgers University from 1994 to 1996.
