Frank Sill Torres

Frank Sill Torres currently serves as the Acting Institute Director and Head of the Department of Resilience of Maritime Systems at the German Aerospace Center (DLR) since June 2019. In addition, Frank has lectured at the University of Bremen and Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences since October 2019 and October 2021, respectively. From July 2010 to March 2021, Frank was a permanent member of the Graduation Program in Electrical Engineering at Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais and held the position of Professor at Deutsches Forschungszentrum für Künstliche Intelligenz (DFKI) from 2018 until June 2019. Earlier roles include Lecturer at the University of Duisburg-Essen and at Universidade Federal do Amazonas and Senior Engineer at Fundação de Desenvolvimento da Pesquisa - FUNDEP. Frank completed a Habilitation in Computer Science at the University of Bremen and holds a Dr.-Ing. in Electrical Engineering from Universität Rostock.
