Gabriel D. is a highly experienced professional in aviation and sports officiating, currently serving as a Civil Aviation Safety Inspector in the Airlines Division at Transport Canada since August 2022. With a strong background in aviation safety and training, Gabriel held various leadership roles at the Air Line Pilots Association from July 2018 to August 2022, including Vice Chair and Committee Chair positions. Gabriel's extensive experience in operational training is further demonstrated through roles at WestJet as a Check Captain, where responsibilities included line-oriented flight training and instructor roles in various flight operations disciplines. Additionally, since September 2012, Gabriel has contributed to the development of officiating standards as a Hockey Canada Officiating Program Instructor and Coach. Gabriel holds a Bachelor's degree in Labor and Industrial Relations from Athabasca University and an Airline Transport Pilot License from Toronto Island Air Flight School.

Hockey Canada is the national governing body for grassroots hockey in this country. The organization works in conjunction with the 13 provincial branches, the Canadian Hockey League and a number of associate member organizations in growing the game at all levels. Hockey Canada oversees the management of programs in Canada from entry-level to high performance teams and competitions, including world championships and the Olympic Winter Games. Hockey Canada is also Canada’s voice within the International Ice Hockey Federation. Hockey Canada has offices in Calgary and Ottawa, and operates regional centres in Western Canada, Ontario and Quebec. ********* Hockey Canada est l’organisation nationale régissant le hockey local partout au pays.
