John Pucci has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. John started their career as a Ticket Sales Manager with the Soo Greyhounds Hockey Club in 2004 and later transitioned to the role of Executive Director at Hockey Northwestern Ontario, where they had various responsibilities including financial management, implementing strategic plans, and overseeing hockey operations. John then worked as an Area Scout for the Soo Greyhounds, Niagara Ice Dogs, and International Scouting Services, focusing on talent recruitment and evaluation. John also served on the Marketing Committee for the Women's World Hockey Championships in 2011. Additionally, Pucci worked at Labatt Breweries of Canada as a Sales Representative, Territory Manager, and Field Sales Execution Manager, overseeing sales execution, training and development, and community involvement. Prior to their current role, they were the Manager of Sport Tourism & Event Management at the Sault Ste. Marie Economic Development Corporation. Currently, Pucci is employed at Hockey Canada, where they have held various positions including Director of Licensing and Analytics, Senior Manager of Partnerships & Licensing, and Manager of Business Development and Partnerships. John Pucci earned a Master's degree in Sports Administration from Ohio University from 2015 to 2017. In 2019, they attended Bow Valley College for a course in Effective Business Writing, although they did not obtain a degree from there. Additionally, from 2000 to 2004, they pursued a Bachelor of Commerce with a specialization in Sports Administration at Laurentian University/Université Laurentienne. In terms of certifications, they obtained the Microsoft Office Specialist: Excel 2019 & Office 365 Expert certification from Lynda.com in August 2020. John also received several other certifications from Lynda.com, including Aligning Sales and Marketing, Mastering Your Brand Skills, and Understanding Sales Growth, all obtained in April 2020. Additionally, in September 2008, they completed the Coach Stream certification from Hockey Canada.
