Kris Hartley has extensive experience in sports education and teaching, currently serving as an Instructor/Clinician for Softball Canada and Hockey Canada, and as an Associate Coach for Men's Volleyball at Olds College of Agriculture & Technology. In addition to these roles, Kris is an Elementary School Teacher at Rocky View Schools, overseeing various subjects and leading student council and numeracy initiatives, while also acting as the Athletic Director. With a focus on umpire training for Baseball Canada and responsibilities as the Education Chair for the Alberta Softball Umpires Association, Kris demonstrates a strong commitment to improving officiating standards across multiple sports. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Education with a specialty in Physical Education from Thompson Rivers University and a Mortgage Brokers Certificate from UBC Sauder School of Business.

Hockey Canada

Hockey Canada is the national governing body for grassroots hockey in this country. The organization works in conjunction with the 13 provincial branches, the Canadian Hockey League and a number of associate member organizations in growing the game at all levels. Hockey Canada oversees the management of programs in Canada from entry-level to high performance teams and competitions, including world championships and the Olympic Winter Games. Hockey Canada is also Canada’s voice within the International Ice Hockey Federation.
