Ryan Robins

Director, Events & Properties at Hockey Canada

Ryan Robins has a diverse work experience in the field of hockey. Ryan started their career in 2001 as an Intern Youth Hockey Development at the Toronto Maple Leaf Hockey Club. Ryan then became an Assistant Coach for the Ryerson University Men's Hockey Team in the same year. Ryan also worked as a Coordinator at the Ontario Centre of Excellence for the Canadian Hockey Association in 2001-2002. In 2003, they joined Hockey Canada as a Coordinator, Marketing Services & Events and later became the Manager, International & Special Events in 2005-2006. Ryan then joined the Tri-City Americans in 2004 as a WHL Regional Senior Scout. In 2006, they returned to Hockey Canada as the Senior Manager, Marketing Services & Events and eventually became the Director, Events & Properties in November 2014.

Ryan Robins completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Kinesiology/Physical Education & History at Wilfrid Laurier University from 1992 to 1997. Later, they pursued a Post Diploma in Sport Administration at Durham College from 2000 to 2001.

Hockey Canada

Hockey Canada is the national governing body for grassroots hockey in this country. The organization works in conjunction with the 13 provincial branches, the Canadian Hockey League and a number of associate member organizations in growing the game at all levels. Hockey Canada oversees the management of programs in Canada from entry-level to high performance teams and competitions, including world championships and the Olympic Winter Games. Hockey Canada is also Canada’s voice within the International Ice Hockey Federation. Hockey Canada has offices in Calgary and Ottawa, and operates regional centres in Western Canada, Ontario and Quebec. ********* Hockey Canada est l’organisation nationale régissant le hockey local partout au pays.
