Hockey Club Lugano is a professional ice hockey team based in Lugano, Switzerland. It is member of the National League (NL) and is one the most accomplished and winning Swiss clubs. From the moment when the playoff have been introduced during the 1985/86 season, the club has won seven national titles and took part in other five playoff final series. On the international level, the club took part in two European Cup finals, in one Eurolega Top Four Final and in the Super Six 2007, it also played the conclusive act within the Spengler Cup and reached two third ranks in the Continental Cup Superfinal. The team play his home games at the Cornèr Arena with a capacity of 7’200. Founded in 1941, the Hockey Club Lugano is a significant reality in the region thanks also to the youth section, which has now more than 400 members in the different age categories and five professional coaches. The company also includes the Ladies Team playing in the top women league.
