Michael Blackwell MBA, CISSP, MCASAE, MCAAA, AWS-CSAA, ITIL has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Michael is currently serving as the Director of Information Technology at Hodgdon Powder Company Inc since May 2022.

Prior to their current position, Michael worked at the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP) from May 2017 to January 2022, where they held the role of Information Technology Manager. In this role, they led a team of web developers and project managers, managed IT-related budgets and expenditures, and oversaw the Information Technology staff. Michael also analyzed network security and developed strategies to improve infrastructure and enterprise security.

Before ACCP, Michael worked as a Senior Cyber Security Consultant at Corporate Risk Solutions, Inc. from March 2015 to November 2016. Michael provided expert cybersecurity consulting services to clients during this time.

From January 2013 to February 2015, Michael served as the Information Technology Manager at RBC Medical Innovations. In this role, they managed IT infrastructure at multiple sites, implemented new technologies, and provided overall IT vision to the organization.

Prior to RBC Medical Innovations, Michael worked at Physicians Reference Laboratory as the Network Systems Manager from April 2001 to January 2013. Michael was responsible for overseeing multiple remote locations, ensuring system continuity, and maintaining high server uptime. Michael also drafted change management policies to streamline the introduction of new software and systems.

Before Physicians Reference Laboratory, Michael worked as a Change Manager at iTravel from March 1997 to April 2001. Michael successfully led projects to consolidate multiple locations into a centralized call center and data center.

Michael's career began at IKON Office Solutions Technology Services division where they served as a Network Administrator/Helpdesk Support from January 1995 to March 1997. Michael provided support for applications, systems, telephone systems, and was responsible for backups and system uptime.

Michael Blackwell holds an MBA degree in Business from Webster University, which they obtained from 2005 to 2008. Prior to that, they pursued a degree in CIS (Information Systems) from DeVry University, completing it from 1992 to 1995. In addition to their academic qualifications, Michael has obtained several certifications. Michael became a Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert in March 2022, an AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate in February 2022, a Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate in February 2022, and a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) in April 2016.
