Fernando Espinoza

Fernando Espinoza is a distinguished academic with extensive experience in science education. Currently a Professor in the Department of Chemistry and Physics and the School of Education at SUNY College at Old Westbury since 2005, Espinoza serves as the Science Education Coordinator, teaching both graduate and undergraduate courses. Additionally, Espinoza is the Graduate Education Programs Director within the School of Education, focusing on inquiry-based learning in science. Concurrently, Espinoza has been an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Hofstra University since January 2005, instructing courses on the physics of light, sound, and general physics. Prior experience includes being an Assistant Professor at Lehman College, where Espinoza directed science education programs, and teaching Physics and Earth Science at Archbishop Molloy High School, where Fernando inspired numerous students. Espinoza holds a Doctorate in Science Education, specializing in Physics education from Columbia University, as well as both Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Physics from Queens College, CUNY.
