Kristy Loewenstein

Kristy Loewenstein is an experienced nursing leader currently serving as Interim Dean at Hofstra Northwell School of Nursing and Physician Assistant Studies since October 2024, while also holding the position of Deputy Chief Nursing Officer at South Oaks Hospital Northwell Health since May 2021. Previously, Kristy was a Clinical Adjunct Instructor at Adelphi University from October 2011 to October 2024, focusing on psychiatric clinical rotations for undergraduate nursing students. Kristy's extensive background includes a long tenure at Zucker Hillside Hospital as both a Registered Nurse and Senior Admin. Director of Patient Care Services, Nursing Education and Professional Development, where responsibilities included overseeing nursing education for a large staff and inter-professional colleagues. Additionally, Kristy served in a similar capacity at Northwell Health from May 1999 to May 2021. Kristy holds a PhD in Nursing Science from the Medical University of South Carolina and a Master of Science in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing from Stony Brook University.
