Margaret Christy

Margaret Christy, LMFT, currently serves as the Program Director for Marriage and Family Therapy and an Adjunct Instructor at Hofstra University since January 2023. Margaret has extensive experience as a Marriage and Family Therapist with South Wind Marriage and Family Therapy, PLLC since January 2020 and previously worked as a Mental Health Therapist at Tia from January to August 2022. Additional roles include Program Coordinator, Discharge Disposition Supervisor, and Mental Health Consultant at Family and Children's Association from October 2014 to December 2021, and Marriage and Family Therapist at Life Stages Counseling from June 2014 to March 2020. Margaret gained valuable experience as a Clinical Intern and Senior Clinical Intern at Hofstra University's various clinics in 2013 and also served as President of the Hofstra University Marriage and Family Therapy Club from May 2012 to May 2014. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy/Counseling and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, both from Hofstra University. Margaret completed secondary education at Archbishop Molloy High School.
