Melvin Pauwels serves as Advocate General at the Hoge Raad der Nederlanden since January 2023 and has held various judicial and academic roles throughout a distinguished career. Positions include serving as a Judge at Gerechtshof s-Hertogenbosch, Senior Judge and Judge at Rechtbank Zeeland-West-Brabant, and guest lecturer and researcher at Tilburg University. Past experience includes working as a senior policy advisor at the Ministry of Finance and as a tax advisor at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Melvin Pauwels holds multiple degrees from Tilburg University, including a Ph.D. in Tax Law, and has participated in the Erasmus exchange program at Universitat de Barcelona.
