Gonneke Willemsen

Gonneke Willemsen currently serves as Directeur Gezondheid, Sport en Welzijn en Vestigingsdirecteur Haarlem at Inholland University of Applied Sciences since January 2023. Prior to this role, Gonneke Willemsen spent over two decades at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, holding positions such as Vice-Dean Education in the Faculty of Behavioural and Movement Sciences, and progressing through various academic ranks from Assistant Professor to Professor in the Department of Biological Psychology. Earlier experience includes a postdoctoral research fellowship at UCL from September 1998 to December 1999. Gonneke Willemsen earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Immune responses to stress from the University of Birmingham and a Master of Science (MS) in Psychology from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
