Bas Banning

Bas Banning is an experienced educator currently serving as a Docent Lerarenopleiding Maatschappijleer en geschiedenis at Hogeschool Rotterdam since November 2023. Prior to this role, Bas worked as a Docent Burgerschap at Zuiderpark ISK from August 2023 to July 2024 and as an Expert Educatie at ProDemos - Huis voor democratie en rechtsstaat from October 2010 to August 2023, focusing on creating educational materials and leading projects. Additional experience includes a brief role as a Zij-instromer leerkracht group 6 at Dominicus Kindcentrum in early 2023, project leadership and staff roles at the Instituut voor Publiek en Politiek, and teaching positions at SG Spieringshoek and Jeanne d'Arc College Maastricht. Academically, Bas holds a Drs. degree in Arts and Sciences from Maastricht University and is pursuing further qualifications in education at Thomas More Hogeschool.
