Ronald van Gils is currently a PhD Candidate at Erasmus MC, focusing on the growth monitoring of preterm infants through a project aimed at enhancing neurodevelopmental outcomes. In addition to this role, Ronald serves as Project Leader for Create4Care, leading collaborations to develop medical devices for hospital challenges. At Hogeschool Rotterdam, Ronald is the Head Lecturer and Researcher, initiating practical research projects across healthcare technology and innovations. Ronald also has a strong background in educational development, having co-founded a new bachelor program in Industrial Design Engineering and coordinated the Master's Degree in Product Design. Ronald's past experience includes roles as a Performance Expert at LVNL and a Consultant Designer at GE Plastics, alongside extensive lecturing in industrial product design. Ronald holds a Master's degree in Industrial Design Engineering from Delft University of Technology and a teaching certification from Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences.
